AI Agents

Artificial intelligence systems capable of executing complex, multi-step tasks by interacting with the digital environment, making decisions, and correcting course without constant human intervention. Unlike a chatbot that just "responds", an agent goal is to "perform/do". They can research a topic, book a flight,  compare products and find lowest price, reach out to five carpenters. Tasks that takes multiple steps.

Why It Matters

The adaptation of agents marks a shift from AI agents "giving guidance" to taking action on behalf of the user. Gartner predicts that by end of 2026, search marketing will lose share to agents. Making it even mor improtent for brands to have control over their presense in AI chats and Agents.
